Updated Epic@UNC Beaker Labs timeline - April 16 Go-Live

The Epic@UNC Beaker Labs Go-Live and associated Epic@UNC updates at UNC Medical Center, UNC REX Healthcare, Chatham Hospital, and the UNC Physicians Network originally planned for March 12 will now occur April 16, 2016.

The Beaker Labs workflow previews will continue as planned:

  • Hands-on drop-in sessions March 7 - 9 for anyone who collects specimens on the inpatient side (ClinDoc, Beacon Inpatient, Stork, or Radiant modules) or in the Emergency Department (ASAP module)
  • WebEx sessions March 10 - 11 for anyone collecting specimens on the inpatient side (ClinDoc, Beacon Inpatient, Stork, or Radiant modules) or in the Emergency Department (ASAP module).
  • WebEx sessions March 7 – 11 for anyone who collects specimens in the ambulatory setting, including in Infusion Clinics. Employees at Urgent Cares and Express Care do not need to attend.

The 2016 Epic@UNC rollout schedule is:

  • March 15 at UNC Hospitals: 
    • Phoenix Transplant system Go-Live
  • April 16 at UNC Medical Center, UNC REX Healthcare, Chatham Hospital, UNC Physicians Network:
    • Beaker Labs Go-Live 
    • Blood Product Administration Module (BPAM) Go-Live
  • May 21 at High Point Regional Hospital, Johnston Health’s Smithfield and Clayton hospitals: 
    • Epic@UNC Go-Live (including Beaker and a new Epic@UNC Cupid Cardiology system)
    • Blood Product Administration Module (BPAM) Go-Live
  • June 18 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital, Pardee Hospital and its clinics:
    • Epic@UNC Go-Live (including Beaker and Cupid)
    • Blood Product Administration Module (BPAM) Go-Live
  • August 19 at UNC Medical Center, UNC REX Healthcare, Chatham Hospital, and UNC Physicians Network: 
    • Cupid Cardiology system Go-Live
