These free informational sessions help you navigate your State Health Plan benefits in retirement and understand how the State Health Plan and Medicare work together. The sessions are designed for State Health Plan members nearing 65 years old and those who are 65 years old and still actively working.

Are you thinking about retirement? We can help you navigate your State Health Plan options. Plan members nearing 65 years old and those who are 65 and still actively working are invited to attend a State Health Plan informational session on how to maximize their health plan options in retirement.

As a reminder, Plan members should submit retirement paperwork 120 days before their anticipated retirement date. In addition, it’s recommended that members who are considering retirement meet with a Benefits representative up to six months before their planned retirement date.

The free informational sessions are planned statewide from March through August. Locations, dates and times of events are available on the Plan website at www.shpnc.org. Those who plan to attend should register early, as seating will be limited.
