Mindfulness-based Program for Stress and Pain Management

Mindfulness will teach you how to slow down and set priorities while remaining calm, focused and relaxed in the midst of a busy life.

Evidence-based benefits of mindfulness practice include:

  • Reduced stress, anxiety and depression
  • Improved ability to cope with chronic pain disorders such as migraine, irritable bowel syndrome and fibromyalgia 
  • Improved ability to manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and heart disease

Registration is still open for the following sessions:

  • Thursdays, April 14 – June 9, 6:00-8:30 p.m. with Paula Huffman at the UNC School of Social Work 
  • Fridays, April 15 – June 3, 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with Paula Huffman at the UNC Center for Rehabilitation Care 
  • Tuesdays, April 19 – June 7, 6:00-8:30 p.m. with Paula Huffman at the Carolina Wellness Institute in Hillsborough
