Show Your #KomenPink20

All employees are encouraged to participate in a special social media campaign in support of The Komen® Triangle Race for the Cure.

As part of the event’s 20th anniversary everyone is welcome to share their #KomenPink20 via social media. Examples of this include tweeting a photo of a pink “20” drawn on your driveway in pink sidewalk chalk or post a video of yourself and 20 co-workers wearing pink to your Facebook page. The important thing is to be creative and help promote the hashtag #KomenPink20.

An example of a video has been provided by breast cancer survivor Lillie Atwater. In it, Ms. Atwater encourages her fellow survivors of 20 or more years to upload their videos and pictures as a show of support for the event.

The Susan G. Komen® North Carolina Triangle to the Coast will be held on Saturday, June 11, in its new location at The Frontier in Research Triangle Park. This change in location is due to construction on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. The Frontier is located at 800 Park Offices Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709.

Once again UNC and Rex will field a team and sponsor the race day Survivor’s Pavilion. Walkers interested in joining the UNC/REX team may do so at: http://nctc.info-komen.org/site/TR?fr_id=6242&pg=informational&type=fr_informational&sid=5758.
