Effective Monday, Nov. 14: Visitor restrictions for children under 12 in NCCC, PICU, BMTU at UNC Hospitals
Two cases of pediatric respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) were reported the week of Oct. 24 - 28, 2016, triggering visitor restrictions for children under 12 (age 11 years old and younger) for the Newborn Critical Care Center (NCCC), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMTU) at UNC Hospitals. These restrictions begin Monday, Nov. 14, 2016.

Employee flu vaccine updates and reminders
As of 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, more than 10,200 colleagues at UNC Medical Center have received their flu vaccine. Occupational Health Services (OHS) will provide flu vaccine to UNC Medical Center employees through Dec. 2, at which time UNC Medical Center personnel must be compliant with influenza vaccinations. Please read these reminders about OHS in November.
New Date - Aeroscout/MobileView downtime: Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
The scheduled Nov. 15 Aeroscout/MobileView system downtime must be delayed by one day.The Aeroscout/MobileView system will now be down from 9 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at UNC Medical Center (including Hillsborough, Wakebrook, and outpatient clinics) for system upgrades and maintenance. Aeroscout asset tracking, environmental monitoring, and patient duress tags will be unavailable during this time. Please follow your standard downtime procedures.
Phlebotomists, Lab staff: Temporary workaround for Rover mobile app issues
ISD and Epic are aware of an issue that is causing the Rover mobile application to shut down unexpectedly for some Phlebotomists and Lab staff. Please follow the steps listed at this Intranet link to avoid this issue. This is a temporary workaround until Epic releases an update to the Rover mobile app.

UNC men's basketball home games Nov. 13 and Nov. 15
The UNC men's basketball team plays home games against Chattanooga on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m. and Long Beach State on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 8 p.m. Expect delays going to and coming from UNC Hospitals and the School of Medicine.
