Being Mortal is an hour-long Frontline documentary featuring Dr. Atul Gawande as a follow-up to his bestselling book by the same name. As a renowned surgeon and New Yorker writer, Dr. Gawande challenges people to reexamine how they think about aging and mortality, and to encourage preparations for future care needs.

Join us for a screening of the documentary followed by a guided discussion of end of life issues that will be led by Hospice and Palliative care experts from UNC Healthcare: Diane Yorke, PhD, MBA, MSN, RN, CPNP, Continuing Education Coordinator for Nursing Practice and Professional Development at UNC Hospitals; Libby Hart, RN, BSN, UNC Hospice Nurse Educator; and Nansi Greger-Holt, MPH, MSN, Family and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner at UNC Neurology and Hospice.

Nurses who attend are eligible for 2 contact hours of CNE.
