Effective January 1 our dental provider changed from United Concordia to MetLife Dental. MetLife offers several ways for you and your dentist to access information about your dental benefits.

  • In December 2016, MetLife mailed existing members a “benefit reference card” directly to their home addresses.
  • MetLife is not issuing cards to new hires or reprinting cards for members who did not receive them in December.
  • You do not need to a benefit reference card to use your MetLife Dental coverage. Simply inform your provider that you are covered under MetLife Dental and they should be able to reference all of your benefits using your social security number.
  • If you would like a card, you may print as many as you like, once you’ve registered for account access on their website.

o Create an account with MetLife Dental visit https://mybenefits.metlife.com.

o  Enter NC Flex in the field for Account Sign in, and then click on Register Now.

o  Once you have an account, you can log in and click the link for Print Your Dental ID Card. (Please note: The Benefits Office does not have the ability to access this tool for you.)
