New “Patient on Comfort Care” option available May 3

When a patient is on comfort care and we are no longer providing specific care related to some of the patient’s medical problems, it is appropriate to resolve care plans and education for those medical problems.

Effective Wednesday, May 3, 2017 you will see “Patient on Comfort Care” added to the list of reasons for resolving a care plan or education title. Follow this intranet link to see a screen shot.

The correct work flow would be to add the ‘Actively Dying Patient’ care plan (if deemed appropriate) and to resolve all care plans and education titles for which you are no longer providing interventions or education.
