The UNC Medical Center and UNC REX Healthcare are participating in the annual Healthcare Equality Index survey.  The Healthcare Equality Index (HEI) is the national LGBTQ benchmarking tool that evaluates health care facilities' policies and practices related to the equity and inclusion of their LGBTQ patients, visitors and employees.

The National LGBTQ Health Education Center has partnered with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation to offer on-demand webinars as on-going training for the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Healthcare Equality Index.  “Providing an Inclusive and Affirmative Health Care Environment for LGBT People” is one of those training sessions.  All UNC Hospitals employees are invited to attend.  This training will expand your LGBT knowledge base, support the organization’s vision of improving the health of all North Carolinians and count towards the HEI survey’s education training requirement.

Registration is quick and easy!  This class is on August 17, 2017 from 11:00 – 12:30 p.m. in the Cancer Hospital Conference Room #1.  To register in LMS search for course code HCSDIVINCLUAFF-0001.
