Several approved Code Narrator changes were inadvertently made active in Epic@UNC on Tuesday, Feb. 14. These changes were scheduled to be released on March 8, but leadership decided to keep the changes active since the changes are cosmetic (and there are no documentation changes). This tip sheet shows screenshots of the old/new Code Narrator layouts - please share with your staff. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The image hyperlinks using the NIL Viewer in Epic@UNC will be unavailable for approximately one hour starting at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, and again on Monday, Feb. 27. There is a planned Point-of-Care (POC) interface downtime scheduled from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at High Point Regional Health, UNC Medical Center, and UNC REX Healthcare. POC devices will remain operational and results will queue up then post in Epic@UNC once the POC downtime is complete.
The next time you're in a patient’s chart in Epic@UNC, hit 'Ctrl+Spacebar' on your keyboard (or use the search box in the top right corner) to try out the 'Chart Search' in Epic@UNC. Through Chart Search, you can enter keywords (e.g. - hypertension) and then sort the search results quickly into different categories (problems, notes, meds, labs, etc.).
