Join UNC Health Care’s Heart Walk/Run Team

All employees, family and friends are invited to join UNC Health Care in the fight against heart disease and stroke at the 2017 Triangle Heart Walk/Run.

Since 1961, the AHA has funded 441 projects totaling more than $42.5 million in research grants across the University of North Carolina system. This year our fundraising efforts are being co-led by Gary Park, President, UNC Hospitals, and Marlene Rifkin, Senior VP, Operations.

This year’s walk/run will be held Sunday, Oct. 1, at PNC Arena, 1400 Edwards Mill Rd. in Raleigh and will feature the following activities:

  • Survivor Brunch at 11:30 a.m. (inside PNC Arena)
  • Outdoor Festivities begin at 12:30 p.m.
  • Raise Your Heart Beat One-Miler (Run) starts at 1:15 p.m.
  • 1 Mile & 3 Mile Traditional Walk starts at 2:00 p.m.

Log on to www.TriangleHeartWalk.org to join one of the more than 70 UNC Health Care teams or to start your own and click “Register to Walk.” All registered walkers/runners will receive a free team T-shirt (sizes small to 2XL).
