Onsite LGBT Patient-Centered Care CME Training

A free training entitled “Providing an Inclusive and Affirmative Health Care Environment for LGBT People” is being offered onsite with three options to participate.

UNC Hospitals and UNC Rex Hospital are participating in the annual Healthcare Equality Index survey.  The Healthcare Equality Index (HEI) is the national LGBTQ benchmarking tool that evaluates healthcare facilities' policies and practices related to the equity and inclusion of their LGBTQ patients, visitors and employees.

The National LGBT Health Education Center has partnered with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation to offer on-demand webinars as on-going training for the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Healthcare Equality Index.  “Providing an Inclusive and Affirmative Health Care Environment for LGBT People” is one of those training sessions and will be presented at three different times listed below.  All UNC Hospitals and UNC Rex Hospital employees are invited to attend. This training will expand your LGBT knowledge base, support the organization’s vision of improving the health of all North Carolinians and count towards the HEI survey’s education training requirement.
