Planned Downtime for Sovera Document Imaging July 7 - 8

There is a planned downtime for Sovera, the application used for scanning and Document Imaging, from 6 p.m. Friday, July 7, until 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8. During this time, you will not be able to scan documents into Epic@UNC and you will not be able to retrieve previously scanned documents from Epic, CareLink, WebCIS, or Sovera.

  • Preparing for the Downtime: Staff or providers with appointments scheduled for Saturday, July 8, should print any previously scanned documents that could require review during the appointment by 5 p.m. Friday, July 7.
  • Downtime Procedures from 6 p.m. July 7, through 2 p.m. July 8:
    • Make copies of any documents that needs to be scanned. Write the patient’s MRN and name on the copy to scan when Sovera is available again. 
    • Provide copies to clinical staff where appropriate.
