Patients to begin receiving text message appointment reminders on June 27
On June 27, patients at UNC Health Care locations using Epic@UNC who list a cell phone number as their preferred number will begin receiving appointment reminders via text message. Currently, patients receive an automated phone call to their primary number (landline or mobile) two days prior to a scheduled appointment.

Drinking water continues to be safe; OWASA taking action to resolve taste and odor
OWASA said Thursday that its drinking water continues to be safe, and the utility has taken additional actions to resolve taste and odor in the water. The taste and odor result from algae in the Cane Creek Reservoir and University Lake. OWASA’s treatment process removes algae from drinking water, but some organic compounds may remain and may cause earthy or musty taste and odor. Find more information at this link.
