2017 Tar Heel 10 Miler & Fleet Feet Sports 4 Mile Run Parking Information and Road Closures

In close partnership with the Town of Chapel Hill and UNC-Chapel Hill, Endurance Magazine will be producing the 8th annual Tar Heel 10 Miler & Fleet Feet Sports 4 Mile Run in Chapel Hill on Saturday, April 22. Please allow yourself plenty of time if you are commuting to or from the Hospital between 6 - 7:30 a.m. Read more information about road closures and parking.

This race will start at 7:15 a.m. at South Rd. and Stadium Dr., and will finish on Stadium Dr. alongside Kenan Stadium. The event will conclude at 10:30 a.m. We will have a field of 6000 runners.

The primary beneficiary for the event is the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.

UNC Public Safety and McLauren professional parking services have been hired to manage pre-race parking logistics. Runners will begin arriving at 6 a.m. and they will be directed to park at the Cardinal and Jackson decks as well in the Skipper-Bowles, Business, and Manning parking lots.

Raleigh Rd./Rt. 54 will be closed between 15/501 and Country Club Rd starting at 5 a.m.

Runners will be directed to utilize inbound routes based on their point of origin. We are instructing everyone to arrive by no later than 6:30 a.m., primarily so that our race traffic interferes less with the traffic associated with UNC Hospitals' 7 a.m. shift change.
