Healthy Heels Weight Loss Program for UNC Health Care Employees
The UNC Weight Management Program offers a comprehensive weight loss program to UNC Health Care employees called the Healthy Heels Weight Loss Program. A new session, beginning in June, is currently enrolling new participants.

Planned Pyxis ES downtime May 17
There is a planned Pyxis ES downtime scheduled for Wednesday, May 17, starting at 12:30 a.m. and will be completed at or before 6 a.m. Impacted facilities are Caldwell Memorial, Chatham Hospital, High Point Regional, UNC Medical Center (including Wakebrook and the Hillsborough Hospital), and UNC REX Healthcare.

Health Maintenance updates coming Thursday, May 11
On Thursday, May 11, the Epic@UNC Population Health team released updates to Health Maintenance Plans, Topics and Best Practice Advisories (BPAs) related to diabetes and/or attention to nephropathy. These changes for primary care practices are a result of feedback received from the specialties of Endocrinology and Nephrology.

RSV Visitor Restrictions end Thursday, May 11
UNC Hospitals has had zero cases of pediatric Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) for three consecutive weeks. Therefore, we will lift childhood visitor restrictions effective Thursday, May 11, 2017, in the Newborn Critical Care Center (NCCC), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMTU).
South Road closed between Student Stores, Raleigh St. May 15 – Aug. 4
The section of South Road in Chapel Hill between the Student Union and Fetzer Gym will be closed for utility repairs from May 15 through Aug. 4, 2017. Please plan ahead and leave extra time if needing to follow the detours through campus during this time.
Changes to timing of telephone Appointment Reminder calls
UNC Health Care will begin sending text message appointment reminders to patients in the Summer of 2017. In preparation for the rollout of text messaging appointment reminders, the schedule for telephone appointment reminders will be modified beginning Friday, May 26, to be made two business days prior to the appointment (vs. currently being made three business days prior to the appointment).
Introducing MySupport@UNC – Coming May 24
ISD values your feedback and is pleased to announce that ISD Assistance (the online HEAT Cloud self-service system) will be replaced by ‘MySupport@UNC’ on Wednesday, May 24 (the originally announced date was May 17), with the goal of delivering a simple, easy-to-use support solution for your IT issues and needs.
Health Insurance Dependent Eligibility Audit
The Benefits Office has been notified that the State Health Plan (SHP) is conducting a full dependent audit this summer. They have instructed our office that letters will be sent to SHP members by the end of the month, and you will have until July 31 to provide proof of your dependent’s eligibility. Failure to provide proof by that date will result in coverage being cancelled August 1, 2017.
