Action Required: All employees, volunteers and contract workers must be flu compliant by Dec. 4

All employees, volunteers and contract workers must be flu compliant by Dec. 4 or risk suspension/termination. Please ensure that you are compliant by this date.

  • Occupational Health Services (OHS) staff members will administer flu vaccines (no appointments are necessary) during these hours:
    • Thursday, Nov. 30: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
    • Friday, Dec. 1: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
    • Monday, Dec. 4: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Or employees can submit their own attestation  demonstrating proof of compliance or exemption.
  • Daily compliance reports are being delivered to Vice Presidents every day this week.  Please check with your immediate supervisor if you have any questions about whether you are on the list.  
  • If you have received a vaccine and your name continues to be on the list, you must go online to attest to receiving the flu vaccine:
  • UNC Health Care System employees who are non-compliant as of Dec. 4, 2017, will be suspended and will not be permitted to work thereafter (with notice of investigatory suspension added to the employee’s personnel file).  Classified employees will receive a pre-disciplinary conference letter providing notice of intent to proceed with termination effective Dec. 8, 2017.  Unclassified employees will be terminated effective Dec. 8, 2017. 
  • Non-compliant temporary and contract employees will receive notice of dismissal if they have not demonstrated compliance.
