PTO Sell Back Period Aug. 1 – Aug. 25

UNC Medical Center next Paid Time Off (PTO) sell-back election period to employees is August 1st to August 25th . To be eligible for the sell-back options, employees must have at least 88 hours of PTO available. Employees are eligible to automatically receive a sell-back based on their election of 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of all hours over 80 with a minimum of eight hours required for distribution. Fire Alarm Testing – Aug. 22

Plant Engineering will be performing a fire alarm system test for the Infirmary building from 5 - 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22. During this time, there may be intermittent audio and visual alarms, but these should be very limited and will be silenced upon activation. All testing will conclude by 7:30 a.m. and systems will be restored to normal operations at this time.

Trauma elevator closed for three weeks beginning Aug. 20

On Monday, Aug. 20, Plant Engineering will begin work on the Trauma Elevator located in Women’s and Children’s Hospital to create a new stop for 4th floor Anderson Pavilion in conjunction with the Cardio-Thoracic Intensive Care Unit project. The Trauma elevator will be out of service for approximately three weeks.

Scheduling, Registration staff: Regional Workqueues continue to evolve with growth, change across UNC Health Care

In March 2018, we transitioned ambulatory referrals from Schedule Order workqueues to Referral workqueues. Part of this transition included the introduction of regional workqueues, which catch referrals where the specialty is populated but no department or provider is specified. As UNC Health Care evolves this fall (with Wayne and Nash starting on Epic@UNC, and High Point Regional leaving UNC Health Care), there will be changes to these regional workqueues.
