T​o ensure our patient information is safe, if you currently access work email (@unchealth.unc.edu ) on a personally-owned device (i.e. Android, iPhone, iPad, etc.), you must enroll your device in UNC Health Care's mobile device management system (AirWatch) by Aug. 20, 2018, to maintain access to your work email on personal devices. ISD has set up several drop-in help sessions throughout the summer to help.

UNC Wellness Centers offers weight loss classes

The Weigh To Wellness is an 8-week weight loss class that combines nutrition education with exercise. Classes meet every Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. beginning on Sept. 6 through Oct. 25. Member fee: $260; non-member fee: $400 (includes 8-week membership); UNC Hospitals employees receive a 10% discount. Orientation is Thursday, Aug. 30 from 6 - 7 p.m.

PTO Sell Back Period Aug. 1 – Aug. 25

UNC Medical Center next Paid Time Off (PTO) sell-back election period to employees is August 1st to August 25th . To be eligible for the sell-back options, employees must have at least 88 hours of PTO available. Employees are eligible to automatically receive a sell-back based on their election of 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of all hours over 80 with a minimum of eight hours required for distribution. Providers: Med/Order Reconciliation required – Review steps to remove MAR Hold if needed

Medication/Order reconciliation is required for Admission, Discharge, Transfer of level of care, and after procedures in the OR, Endo and Cath/EP labs when the patient is being moved to any inpatient nursing unit. If Med Rec is not completed, all ordered inpatient medications will go on MAR Hold, alerting nursing staff that Med Rec has not been completed.
