Nova StatStrip Glucometer Go-Live Feb. 6 at UNC Medical Center (including Hillsborough, Wakebrook, and Outpatient Clinics)

The Point of Care Services, ISD and Nursing teams are implementing new Nova StatStrip Glucometer devices at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, the Hillsborough Campus, Wakebrook, and UNC Medical Center outpatient Clinics, with a Go-Live date set for Tuesday, Feb. 6. Operator Access to the new glucometer requires completion of the LMS course HCSPOCNSGM prior to Feb. 6.

Providers: View Anticoagulation data in the Synopsis Activity

​Starting Monday, Jan. 29, clinicians in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Pediatric Cardiology will be able to view a patient's anticoagulation information in the 'Synopsis' activity and visually compare data in both a flowsheet and a graphical format on the same screen. Since 2008, UNC Hospitals has utilized TUG robots in the laboratory, which make deliveries inside and outside the lab. On Jan. 29, 2018, our fleet of autonomous mobile robots will begin to grow, eventually reaching a total of 18. These TUG robots will assist our support services teams with delivery activities.
