PTO Sell Back Period Nov. 1 – Dec. 1

UNC Medical Center next Paid Time Off (PTO) sell-back election period to employees is Nov. 1 - Dec. 1. To be eligible for the sell-back options, employees must have at least 88 hours of PTO available. Employees are eligible to automatically receive a sell-back based on their election of 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of all hours over 80 with a minimum of eight hours required for distribution. Terrace Cafe closed Dec. 8 - 9

Starting on Saturday, Dec. 8, the Terrace Café will receive kitchen renovations. To ensure a smooth process, Nutrition and Food Service (NFS) will close the Terrace Café at 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7. It will re-open at 6:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10. NFS will open the Corner Café from 6:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. on both Saturday, Dec. 8, and Sunday, Dec. 9.

$50,000 Innovation Award request for proposal now available

The Center for Health Innovation of UNC Health Care and the UNC School of Medicine has released the request for proposal for its 2019 $50,000 Innovation Pilot Awards. All UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health Care employees from any entity are eligible to apply. Applications are due Jan. 15, 2019, and as many as four awards of up to $50,000 each will be announced in March.
