Action Required: Front Facing Staff Uniforms and Fitting/Ordering Sessions

Fitting and ordering sessions for the uniform polo shirts are next week, April 15 - 17. Additional information regarding dates, times, and locations available at this link. Employees must attend a session next week to order their shirts. A UNC Health Care ID badge will be required to order. For staff who will be on PTO or otherwise cannot attend, there will be an online ordering period from April 22 – May 3.

The Front Facing Staff uniform implementation is July 1, 2019.

Front facing staff are team members who work and interact with patients, their families, and visitors face to face or work in an area where you may interact with patients (i.e. a phone room within a clinic) or where staff could rotate/float to one of these areas. Job titles include:

  • Administrative Representatives/Associates/Specialists/Coordinators
  • Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs)
  • Resident Support Assistants
  • Financial Counselors
  • Patient Financial Services Representatives
  • Front Desk Coordinators

Front-facing staff must attend a session next week to order their shirts. A UNC Health Care ID badge will be required to order. For staff who will be on PTO or otherwise cannot attend, there will be an online ordering period from April 22 – May 3. Additional information and a link will be shared at a later date.

The uniform (an embroidered gray polo shirt provided by UNC Health Care) will be worn with black pants and appropriate footwear in accordance with the Professional Business Attire policy. Full-time staff working five days a week will receive five shirts. Part-time, per diem, and full-time staff working three days a week will receive three shirts.
