Caregiving for a loved one, whether it’s a child or adult, can be both rewarding and overwhelming while trying to balance the caregiver role and work outside of the home. This interactive session on caregiving will include a panel discussion followed by small group breakout discussions that provide takeaways/resources for staff caring for children or adults and the managers and coworkers who support them.

Panelists:

Delaine McNeil, HCS Director, husband, and current caregiver to his mother and teenage daughter at home (sandwich generation) and good role model for creating family-first culture of support on his team of young parents and other sandwich generation caregivers. Delaine’s responsibilities include managing a team of analysts directly related to the schedule build and maintenance of 5000+ outpatient providers and resources across the Health Care System. He’s served in similar roles in Ambulatory Care, Revenue Cycle Management, and the UNC Health Alliance over his 20 year tenure.
