TIAA Session 

You can discuss your personal financial situation with an experienced TIAA Financial Consultant on a confidential basis at no additional cost to you. They are available Tuesday, July 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Medical School Wing C (old Motel) Room 102 to discuss how to help you pursue your financial goals by investing in financial products such as mutual funds, brokerage, life insurance and annuities.  Space is limited, so please RSVP as soon as you can.   • Tuesday, July 16 from noon to 1p.m.: Social Security strategies for married couples - Married couples can take advantage of some strategies that may help to increase lifetime Social Security benefits. You can learn the basics about spousal benefits, understand the many variables involved in claiming strategies and how married couples can boost their benefits by coordinating the timing of their claims.  
  • Tuesday, July 16 from 3 to 4 p.m.: Charting Your Course: A financial guide for women - Women can face unique financial challenges. You can discover tailored approaches to saving for retirement and tips to make your money work hard.
  • Wednesday, July 17 from noon to 1 p.m.: Tomorrow in Focus: Saving for your ideal retirement - Find out how retirement savings, planning and the real benefit of time are essential features of retirement investments.
  • Wednesday, July 17 from 3 to 4 p.m.: Money at Work 1: Foundations of Investing - Discover how you can manage risk versus reward, as well as understand the role of investing and managing risks, ways to help accelerate savings and tools that can help sustain a portfolio.

CAPTRUST Financial Advisors Individual Session 

CAPTRUST Financial Advisors, the independent advisor that works on the UNC retirement program,  will be conducting individual consultations Thursday, July 17 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Morrisville, MO-4 Integrity Conference Room and on Tuesday, July 22 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Medical School Wing C (old motel) Room 102.

These one-on-one sessions are offered to you solely as a benefit; be assured that CAPTRUST's role is not to sell you anything, but purely to help you make sound investment decisions. You can schedule an appointment for the individual sessions with a professional CAPTRUST Financial Advisor by following these simple steps:

  • Click here to schedule an individual appointment 
  • Choose the location
  • Choose an available 30 minute session
  • Enter your information and click “Schedule It”
  • A confirmation email will then be sent immediately
  • A reminder email will also be sent 24 hours in advance of the meeting
  • If you need to cancel or change your meeting time, click the link received in the confirmation/reminder email. Then enter your last name and confirmation number.

Topics covered in the half-hour individual sessions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Understanding the changes to your plan and how they affect your retirement goals

Fidelity Sessions at Hillsborough 

A Fidelity representative will be available on-site for one-on-one appointments and education sessions Friday, July 19 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the HBT-10012 Conference Room.

Maternity Workshop 

The scheduled Maternity Workshop for Friday, August 3rd from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM in the Women’s Conference Room 4 goes over information such as: Family Medical Leave Act, Shared Leave Policy for Maternity Leave, Benefits Insurance Changes/Options, and Child Care Resources.
