July 4 Transportation and Parking Impacts

Chapel Hill Transit will not operate services on Thursday, July 4, 2019, due to the Independence Day holiday. Normal services will resume on Friday, July 5, 2019. The University will also be closed on Thursday, July 4. As a result, all Park & Ride permit holders and GoPass users will be allowed to park in the S11 parking lots during this time period. On-campus parking permit holders are encouraged to continue to park in their assigned zones. UNC Hospitals shuttles will operate on a normal schedule.

No Direct Access to Neuroscience Lobby Elevators on the Evening of June 27

​Repair work in the Neuroscience Lobby to replace water stained/damaged acoustic panels will be completed on June 27. While the protective pathway is being removed, there will not be direct access through the Neuroscience Lobby to the visitor elevators; this closure is scheduled for the evening of June 27 from 7 p.m. until midnight. Signs will be posted to reroute visitors and staff through the Women’s Lobby during this evening work.
