Employees needing help with their tax preparation may qualify for free assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA). Tax prep will not be onsite this year but will be available at VITA locations across NC and qualified employees can have their taxes prepared at State Employee Credit Union.

The policy is designed to create standards for professional appearance in order to foster a positive working environment, promote workplace safety, and inspire confidence in quality care service delivery. Wayfinding App Coming in 2019 for UNC Medical Center, UNC REX; Robot Mapping to Begin March 11

Later this year, a customized, mobile wayfinding app will be available to help patients, visitors and staff find their way from one end of the hospital to the other at UNC Medical Center and UNC REX Healthcare. We are partnering with a company named Gozio Health to launch this app. To have the most accurate information possible, starting March 11, Gozio Health’s staff will do a walkthrough of the hospitals.

Bus Stop on Eastowne Drive at Pinegate Apartments Will Be Relocated on March 7

Due to construction on Eastowne Drive, the bus stop at Pinegate Apartments (#3296) will be temporarily relocated to 500 Eastowne Drive (about 300 feet north of the current location) until further notice. The project is expected to last about eighteen (18) months, weather permitting.
