Changes to Employee Separation Date

Effective immediately, an employee’s date of separation will now be recorded when the employee clocks-out rather than when they clock-in. The effect of this change should be minimal, but please note that retirees should never work past 11:59 p.m. on the last day of their final month of employment, as this can affect how the separation date is recorded and, as a result, have an effect on retirement benefits.

Benefits analysts will work directly with retirees to ensure that this issue does not occur. If you have questions about this change in business processes, please send them to MyHR.
