Crane On Site Saturday, May 9

Please be advised that we will be removing AHU-3 from the 2nd Floor Neurosciences Mechanical Room on Saturday, May 9. The removal will take a majority of the day and will require the use of a crane. The crane will arrive at approximately 6 a.m. and is planned be dismantled and off site no later than 5 p.m. pending no issues arise. The crane will be located adjacent to the Anderson Loading Dock.

HCAHPS scores available for all UNC Health hospitals

The latest Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Provider Systems (HCAHPS) patient satisfaction scores are available. You can view the scores for all UNC Health hospitals and all Triangle-area hospitals. HCAHPS is a standardized survey that measures patients' feedback on their hospital experience. All results are publicly reported at www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov, where other hospital results can be found as well. HCAHPS allows hospitals to publicly report and compare their results locally, regionally, and nationally. Thanks to everyone at UNC Health for ensuring that we provide the very best care and service to our patients!

Aeroscout/MobileView Downtime - May 7

The Aeroscout/MobileView system will be down from 6:30 PM until approximately 9:00 PM on Thursday May 7 for system maintenance. This downtime will affect all entities currently using the Aeroscout system: UNC Medical Center (including Hillsborough, Wakebrook, SSC, outpatient locations), Rex, Rex H&V, Johnston, Pardee, Caldwell and Chatham.

COVID-19 Test Order Update and Special Droplet Contact Precautions for Asymptomatic Patients

As our capacity to test for COVID-19 infections increases, select areas will test asymptomatic patients. The role that asymptomatic individuals play in transmission is not well defined, but in order to offer optimal protection to our Healthcare Providers, any asymptomatic patient tested will be identified with a COVID-19 rule-out flag and a BPA to place patient on Special Droplet/Contact Precautions until the test is resulted.
