Executive Committee
Old Well
Epic@UNC Executive Committee meets monthly and ultimately oversees the total project. This group is the point of last resort for resolving any issues.

Steering Committee
Old Well
The Epic@UNC Steering Committee meets weekly and is charged with monitoring project execution, managing the scope and budget of the project, making high-level decisions, and resolving escalated issues.

Activation Committees
Old Well
The Epic@UNC Activation Committees are specific to each entity in the UNC Health Care System. The Activation Committees will meet weekly beginning in January 2014 and daily during the go-live portion of the project. The Activation Committees are charged with monitoring their entity’s design localization, training, testing and go-live activities.

Transformation Executives

The Epic@UNC Transformation Executives are the business owners of this project who are charged with removing barriers during implementation. The Transformation Executives meet weekly.

Program Director
Old Well
The Epic@UNC Program Director is the person charged as the lead during the implementation phase of the project with support from Epic and Deloitte.

Advisory Groups
Old Well
The Epic@UNC Advisory Groups are charged with making mid-level design decisions and “owning” certain topics such as clinical content, adoption, change management, data governance, etc. The Advisory Groups meet bi-weekly throughout 2013.

Risk Assessment & Quality Assurance
Old Well
The Epic@UNC Risk Assessment & Quality Assurance team focuses on risks and risk remediation during this project and serves as an “external” controller who manages the risk log as a part-time contract employee.
