There is a planned Epic@UNC downtime scheduled from 3 - 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning, Oct. 2. Epic@UNC will be down for 90 minutes while ISD applies an update.
Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 21, caregivers will begin seeing a ‘Best Practice Advisory’ (BPA) in Epic@UNC to ensure that we screen all appropriate patients who should receive a flu vaccine. View updates in the 2016 BPA at this Intranet link.

From May 16 - 27, Johnston Health providers and advanced practice providers (APPs) are invited to attend an Epic@UNC Provider Engagement Center to test their Epic@UNC login, get help personalizing various aspects of Epic@UNC, and to get the Haiku/Canto mobile apps loaded onto their phones/tablets. Note the specific dates/locations for the Smithfield and Clayton hospitals below.
On Saturday, May 7, the Epic@UNC team will begin the process of converting all scheduled appointments after May 21, 2016, at High Point Regional and Johnston Health into Epic@UNC. As a result, all scheduled appointments after May 21, including radiology and OR cases, will be available in Epic@UNC at Go-Live.
To ensure PCs, printers, scanners, etc., connect properly with Epic@UNC at Go-Live, ISD will conduct a ‘Technical Dress Rehearsal’ between April 11 – May 20 to test each piece of hardware. The Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR) team needs access to each piece of hardware on your unit – they have to visit ALL of our locations and test thousands of pieces of equipment.
The Epic@UNC Reporting & Analytics team plans to host several 'Content Labs' in late April through mid-May to provide details on the reporting tools and workflows available within Epic@UNC.

Managers and Super Users at High Point Regional and Johnston Health begin their Epic@UNC Training on Monday, March 21. To provide more information on training and set expectations about roles during Go-Live, the Epic@UNC Training Team has scheduled five WebEx sessions the week before training begins.
Go-Live #4 is set for May 21, 2016, at High Point Regional Hospital and Johnston Health's hospitals in Clayton and Smithfield. Go-Live #5 is set for June 18, 2016, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital and Pardee Hospital and its ambulatory clinics.

When Epic@UNC goes live at Caldwell Memorial Hospital, High Point Regional Hospital, Johnston Health, and Pardee Hospital and its clinics in 2016, we will need the active engagement and support of everyone at these locations to make this transition a success.
