'Read Only' access through Curricula

Many co-workers need read-only Epic@UNC access to view information required for their jobs. This training is available via e-Learning courses in LMS.

There are three 'Read Only' curricula available in SumTotal LMS: "Clinical," "Revenue Cycle," and "Clinical & Revenue Cycle." Once you complete the appropriate curricula and separate assessment, you will be granted Epic@UNC read only access within 1-2 business days.

Nash and Wayne staff should access the Read Only curricula through the Go-Live #7 library in LMS and will be unblocked at go-live.

Review the chart below and select the appropriate curricula to complete in LMS. Please take notes during the courses on key points and areas of emphasis. You have as many chances as you need to pass the assessment.

If prompted for your department, type in a UNC location, as UNC Medical Center is the most consistent facility with patients populated in Playground.  Here are some suggestions:

For clinic-based workflows, a good login department would be UNC FAMILY MEDICINE CHAPEL HILL (aka FM AYCK).

For inpatient locations, 5 AD UNCMH is a good choice.

For OR location, use MAIN 4TH FL OR UNCMH.

For a billing location, use UNCHCS BUSINESS OFFICE (aka BILLING).

*Remember, multiple users may be using these logins at the same time, so a department may already be there if it was selected by a prior user. You can change the department, if you would like, and it should not impact that other user’s sessions until they log out, when the new default department should appear.
