Epic@UNC will run normally between the two downtimes (from approximately 10:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, until the next downtime beginning at 4 am. Sunday, Feb. 21).

As with any planned Epic@UNC downtime, follow these procedures:

  • All users should log-off of Epic@UNC five minutes prior to the beginning of each downtime. If you are logged-in before either downtime, you will get a 5-minute warning message of the upcoming downtime and should log-off. If you do not log-off, the system will automatically log you off when each downtime begins. You can log-on again after 5 minutes and, during each downtime period, you will be directed to the Epic@UNC "read-only" server.
  • Epic@UNC Downtime Resources are available here. This link is also available from the lower-right corner of the Intranet home page, RexWeb, and Chatham Intranet.
  • After Epic@UNC planned downtimes, there are often questions about who does what related to data recovery. The Epic@UNC Downtime Guides provide details on the roles and responsibilities related to recovery. Check the downtime guide that is appropriate for your area and review the procedure to make sure you understand your role during this process.
