Jeff Lynch, RN, BSN, CCRN-CSC, has been promoted to Nurse Manager of the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU).
Lynch has served as the interim nurse manager of the CTICU since Summer 2012 and has done an outstanding job in this capacity.
Jacci Harden, MHA, RN, CCRN, NE-BC, Director of Inpatient Nursing in the UNC Center for Heart & Vascular Care, says, “I am confident that Jeff will continue to do outstanding work and look forward to even more growth and innovation from the CTICU with him in a permanent capacity. Please join me in congratulating Jeff, as well as supporting him and the unit as they transition into the permanence of his role.”
Lynch is also a skilled researcher and presenter. His study entitled “Acute Aortic Dissections: Dissecting Through the Facts” was accepted for presentation at the National Teaching Institute (NTI) conference in May 2012. NTI is the premier critical care conference sponsored by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
He also presented this study at the 10th Annual The Beat Goes On: Innovations in Heart and Vascular Care conference held on February 26, 2013 at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill. The Beat Goes On is designed to educate and inform nurses working in acute care and critical care cardiovascular settings and other related diagnostic and outpatient settings.
