Todd Williams, an assistant professor of orthopaedics and clinical coordinator for the UNC School of Medicine’s new Physician Assistant Program, served in the U.S. Army for 28 years. More than half of his career was in the Special Forces as a Green Beret medic. He notes that despite their vast medical training, Special Forces medics don't have licensure opportunities commensurate with their experiences. The PA Program seeks to solve this problem.
