All UNC Hospitals and UNC Faculty Physicians clinics are closed on Friday, Feb. 14.

    • If you are not scheduled to work today but can safely travel to UNC Hospitals, please call your department/unit to see if you can help support normal operations.
    • Hazardous travel conditions and potential widespread power outages are expected. Please review UNC Health Care’s Code Black (utility failure) procedures at this Intranet link in case we lose power during this storm.
    • Please use caution and leave extra time when traveling to/from work. To report any unsafe conditions around UNC Hospitals or UNC Health Care facilities, please call the Hospitals Police dispatch center at 919-966-3686.     • Those working at UNC Hospitals on Friday are encouraged to bring an overnight bag that includes:
      • Medication, toiletries, linens, and hygiene supplies for at least 24 hours
      • Food and water provisions for at least 24 hours
      • At least one extra set of work clothes

        • Reopen as scheduled at 6:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14.
      • Starbucks
        • Will remain open 24x7.
  • Epic@UNC Training

    • Epic@UNC Training scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14, at Learning Street has been canceled.
      • Replacement classes for Feb. 13 are scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 16. The same times and same classrooms as the previously scheduled Thursday classes apply. If you cannot attend classes on Sunday, Feb. 16, then you will need to cancel your registration in LMS and re-register for another day, or call the Epic@UNC Training Customer Service Center at 919-445-7188 after 7 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.
      • All co-workers with classes scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14, will receive a notice via LMS that the class is either re-scheduled or cancelled. If your class is cancelled, you can either re-register for a new date in LMS or call the Epic@UNC Training customer service line at 919-445-7188 beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.
