UNC Health Care is proud to announce that 11 nurses across its system have been selected for this year’s list of the Great 100 Nurses in North Carolina. The prestigious list recognizes registered nurses for their outstanding professional abilities and commitment to improving health care in their communities.

“Our nurses are an integral part of the excellent and compassionate care that we provide to our patients and their families every day,” said Dr. William L. Roper, CEO of UNC Health Care. “We congratulate our Great 100 winners on their tremendous accomplishment and thank them for their commitment to improving patient care.”

The list is compiled by The Great 100 Inc., a grassroots, peer recognition organization that honors the nursing profession in North Carolina. The group recognizes nursing excellence and provides scholarships to nursing students across the state. This year’s winners will be recognized during a gala on Oct. 18 in Greensboro.
