UNC Hospitals' residency programs in Family Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Otolaryngology, Radiation Oncology and Urology are all ranked in the top 25 programs nationwide in the latest Doximity Residency Navigator rankings, which were released this week.
Dr. Raj Pruthi, Professor and inaugural Chairman of the Department of Urology says, “We are honored to see this growing appreciation of a reputation for excellence in the eyes of our fellow urologists. This recognition is a testament to the culture of collegiality and innovation that we strive to cultivate at UNC Urology. Our faculty has more than tripled in size over the past decade, but we have stayed true to our mission of excellence in research, teaching, and clinical care.”
The rankings were calculated based on evaluations from more than 95,000 board-certified U.S. physicians, who evaluated 3,691 residency training programs nationwide across 22 specialties.
Doximity is an online professional network for U.S. physicians launched in 2011. Physicians who are registered with Doximity are eligible to vote for the residency rankings and for U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals rankings.
