UNC Division of Cardiology Shines at ACC.17

More than 18,000 people, mostly cardiovascular health professionals, converged on Washington, D.C. for the American College of Cardiology’s 66th Annual Scientific Showcase – ACC.17 – during which UNC researchers gave 36 presentations.

More than 18,000 people, mostly cardiovascular health professionals, converged on Washington, D.C. for the American College of Cardiology’s 66th Annual Scientific Showcase – ACC.17 – during which UNC researchers gave 36 presentations.

“UNC had an impressive and palpable presence at this conference, which is the most important annual cardiology meeting in the world,” said John Vavalle, MD, assistant professor of medicine in the division of cardiology, who was involved in several presentations, including one on transcatheter aortic valve replacement, or TAVR.
