UNC Children’s Named to U.S. News’ “Best Children’s Hospitals” for 11th Straight Year

UNC Children’s is nationally ranked in seven subspecialties, with two in the top 20.

Chapel Hill, N.C. – June 25, 2019 – UNC Children’s has been ranked among the nation’s top children’s hospitals, according to U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Children’s Hospitals 2019-2020.” 

UNC Children’s is nationally ranked in seven subspecialties, with two in the top 20. UNC Children’s is ranked 16th in the nation for diabetes and endocrinology, and is also ranked 16th for pulmonology.

Other subspecialties receiving national recognition from the report include:

  • Orthopedics (23rd)
  • Nephrology (30th) 
  • Cancer (36th)
  • Gastroenterology & GI Surgery (36th)
  • Urology (37th)
