The Allergist Dad

Edwin Kim, MD, director of the UNC Food Allergy Initiative and member of the UNC Children's Research Institute, conducts research on treatments to protect kids against severe allergic reactions to peanuts. This includes his own children, one of who is allergic to peanuts and another to cashews. Watch this video featuring Dr. Kim, his family, and the work he hopes will help protect many families like his own.

Dr. Kim is an assistant professor of medicine & pediatrics in the division of rheumatology, allergy & immunology, and he is the medical director of the UNC Allergy & Immunology Clinic.
