Effective Aug. 27, UNC Hospitals will modify the 5 - 8 a.m. S11 shuttle van route to add a stop at the Craige Deck entrance prior to continuing its route to the S11 lots.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will temporarily close a number of railroad crossings in Orange County that will require Chapel Hill Transit routes to detour three days this week.
Effective Monday, Aug. 27, UNC Hospitals will discontinue the 5 – 8 a.m. shuttle van service to/from the Craige Deck. Instead, the shuttle will provide service to/from the S11 lot during this time period.
It's that time again! UNC students are scheduled to be move in to the dorms beginning Wednesday, Aug. 15 through Sunday, Aug. 19. Fall Fest is Sunday, Aug. 19 on South Road from 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. and South Road will be closed during this time. Please plan ahead as you travel to/from campus the rest of this week and be sure to follow all signage as some parking spaces will be reserved for students moving back to campus.

For the next two weeks, motorists may encounter traffic delays on South Columbia Street in Chapel Hill as crews have closed lanes for resurfacing.
Both Chapel Hill Transit and Triangle Transit will not operate on the July 4 holiday. UNC Health Care employees who use the park and ride system and are reporting to work on July 4 should park in the Dogwood Visitors Deck. Employees who hold on-campus parking permits working July 4 should park in their normal assigned lot.
Chapel Hill's 4th of July celebration is scheduled from 7 - 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, in Kenan Stadium. Please plan ahead as traffic may be heavy near UNC Hospitals from 5 - 11 p.m. that night.
The East elevator on Cardinal Parking Deck will be out of service for several days. The drive motor has failed and will be sent out for repair. It is not certain how long this will take, but the hope is that it will be back in service by Friday.
UNC will host NCAA Baseball Regional games, Friday, June 1 - Sunday, June 3, (and Monday, June 4, game 7 is necessary). On these days, Ridge Road will be closed to through traffic from approximately 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Chapel Hill Transit and Triangle Transit will not operate Monday, May 28 in observance of Memorial Day. Both systems will resume normal schedules on Tuesday.
Chapel Hill Transit (CHT) will begin the summer break schedule on Saturday, May 5. The weekday CM, CW, D, J and NU routes will end earlier in the evening.
Registration for full-time and part-time permanent employee parking for the 2012-2013 parking is now open through May 29.

If you are working on Saturday, April 14, please plan ahead as traffic around campus may be heavier than normal from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. due to the UNC Spring Football game, which is scheduled for 3 p.m.
On Monday, April 9, access to the Bell Tower Deck will change from Old Bell Tower Drive (adjacent to the Bell Tower) to the permanent Bell Tower Drive (next to Coker Hall). Old Bell Tower Drive will be closed to all traffic south of the Stone Center at that time.
