The Craige Deck expansion project begins Monday, July 8. Beginning July 8, the 1st level and a portion of the 2nd level of the Craige parking deck will close for construction.

Beginning Monday, May 13, the following Chapel Hill Transit routes will be detoured for the South Columbia widening project and other road construction projects in the southern portion of Chapel Hill and Carrboro: D, J, NS, V, CCX, CPX, JFX, PX, RU, Saturday JN and Saturday T.

Due to the South Columbia Street widening project in Chapel Hill, traffic on South Columbia Street will be one-way (northbound) from Purefoy Road until Mason Farm Road beginning May 13. Traffic leaving campus will be detoured along Manning Drive.

The UNC football spring game is this Saturday, April 13, at 3 p.m. Events on campus kick off at 11 a.m., so traffic will be heavy on campus most of the day.
Chapel Hill Transit (CHT) will operate Saturday services on Friday, March 29, in observance of the Good Friday holiday. The following Saturday routes will operate: CM, CW, D, FG, JN and T. The Saturday U and NU routes will not operate on Friday, March 29, or Saturday, March 30.
Parking permit registration continues through May 10 for all permanent UNC Hospitals’ employees who work on-campus or at an off-site building with an adjoining campus-owned lot (Hedrick, Imaging & Spine Center, etc.), and for returning residents associated with the Office of Graduate Medical Education.
Weather permitting, the N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will temporarily close one lane of South Road on the UNC campus this week to patch asphalt. The eastbound lane of South Road between Raleigh Street and Stadium Drive will be closed from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day beginning Wednesday, March 13 through Friday, March 15.
Chapel Hill Transit (CHT) will adjust its service schedule from Saturday, March 9, through Saturday, March 16, due to the UNC-Chapel Hill spring break schedule.

Chapel Hill Transit (CHT) will operate on a winter break schedule from Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, through Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013.
The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Holiday Parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 8. The parade, presented by the Jaycees and the Town of Chapel Hill , will begin at 10 a.m. on E. Franklin Street at the Morehead Planetarium and end about noon at Carrboro Town Hall, 301 W. Main St.
Work began Nov. 27 on a N.C. Department of Transportation project to widen and enhance a section of N.C. 86/South Columbia Street in Chapel Hill from Purefoy Road to Manning Drive.
