Moll honored by National Alliance for Thrombosis and Thrombophilia

Stephan Moll, M.D., associate professor of hematology/oncology, received the first Medical and Scientific Leadership Award given by the National Alliance for Thrombosis and Thrombophilia (NATT).

Moll received the award in recognition for his work as a co-founder of NATT. The NATT is a patient-led, non-profit advocacy organization providing patient education and professional training on the signs, symptoms and prevention of blood clots and clotting disorders. NATT is in the process of establishing a North Carolina chapter (nc.stoptheclot.org).

According to the NATT, Moll created the organization’s Medical and Scientific Advocacy Board and “has fought tirelessly for the best interests of patients through education, treatment, advocacy and support.”

He received the award Dec. 6 at a NATT meeting in San Francisco.
