Changes to allergy documentation in CPOE and WebCIS beginning August 26

The current database providing allergy documentation and alerts in both CPOE and WebCIS is no longer being maintained by the database vendor. A switch will be made to a new system beginning the evening of August 26.

The new system will allow more detailed documentation of allergy information and sharing of the information between CPOE, WebCIS, and e-Chart. It also requires that allergy information entered by non-licensed staff into WebCIS be verified by a licensed independent practitioner, nurse or pharmacist.

Please review the memo describing the upcoming changes & policy (links below).
