New NC TraCS Institute Pharmacometrics Walk-In Clinic

Dr. Julie Dumond, Research Assistant Professor from the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics at the Eshelman School of Pharmacy will be staffing this every Tuesday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Health Sciences Library, Room 328.

A brief description of services offered:

Consult with the Pharmacometrics core regarding PK/PD study design, analytical lab referrals, and general PK study issues at regularly scheduled walk-in clinics. Limited data analysis services will be available at these clinics. Investigators are encouraged to use this time to explore the feasibility of more extensive analysis available with Core faculty. The Walk-in clinics are not intended to replace the detailed consultations and formal interactions that may be required for extensive PK/PD work, such as for grant submissions.

Community Engagement Consultation
Consultation on community-based research design, project implementation plans for their service regions, community-based recruitment, identification of community research partners, and community-based dissemination plans.

Grant Proposal Consultation
Experts will advise on all areas of proposal development including finding appropriate public and foundation funding opportunities.

Regulatory Consultation and Protocol Guidance Consultations
Regarding regulatory aspects of clinical trials, drug safety, Data and Safety Monitoring Boards (DSMB), safety monitoring plans, genomics, and subject advocacy.

Child Health Consultation
Consult with Child Health Core members about conducting translational child health research in clinical and community-based settings.

Biostatistical Consultation
Biostatistics Faculty will provide consultations on the design and analysis of clinical and translational science studies.

Clinical and Translational Center (formerly GCRC / CCCT) Consultation
Meet with the CTRC Director, Director of Nursing, Director of Bionutrition and Administrative Director

Regulatory Consultation and Protocol Guidance Consultations
Regarding regulatory aspects of clinical trials, drug safety, Data and Safety Monitoring Boards (DSMB), safety monitoring plans, genomics, IND & IDE guidance, and subject advocacy.

Pharmacometrics Walk-in clinic
Consult with the Pharmacometrics core regarding PK/PD study design, analytical lab referrals, and general PK study issues at regularly scheduled walk-in clinics.
