On Tuesday, May 5, John F. Steege, M.D., performed a surgery at UNC Hospitals that was broadcast live to attendees at the 57th Annual Clinical Meeting of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Chicago.
Toddlers with autism more likely to have enlarged amygdala, UNC study finds
Toddlers with autism appear more likely to have an enlarged amygdala, a brain area associated with functions such as the processing of faces and emotion, a study by UNC School of Medicine researchers has found.
