UNC study: Color-coded chart improves parents’ understanding of body mass index (BMI)
In the study, published in the September/October 2009 issue of journal Academic Pediatrics, a sample of 163 parents of children seen at pediatric clinics at UNC and Vanderbilt University were tested to assess their understanding of BMI, their health literacy and their math abilities.

UNC home football affects parking, transportation
A reminder that certain parking lots are reserved for seven UNC home football games. UNC’s next home game is noon Sept. 19 against ECU in Kenan Stadium.
Thursday night football update
On Thursday, Oct. 22, UNC will host FSU in Kenan Stadium in a nationally televised football game. More than 60,000 fans are expected to attend this game. Traffic around UNC Hospitals will be significantly impacted Oct. 22 from 5:30 - 8 p.m. and 11:15 - midnight.
