Department of Cell & Molecular Physiology celebrates 13th Annual Research Day Sept. 18

Drs. Ellie Tzima, Mark Zylka, and Eve Marder will present lectures.

The 13th annual Research Day held by the Department of Cell & Molecular Physiology on Sept. 18 will focus on the theme of “Cellular Representations of Physiological States."  This annual event serves to introduce our research to new students and faculty, and to promote productive scientific interactions and collaborations throughout the Health Science programs within and beyond UNC-Chapel Hill.

This year’s Research Day will feature three invited speakers. Dr. Ellie Tzima (UNC-Chapel Hill) will present "Mechanosensory Complexes in the Endothelium," Dr. Mark Zylka (UNC-Chapel Hill) will speak about “Biochemical Modulation of Nociceptive Circuits,” and Dr. Eve Marder (Brandeis University) will present “Variability, Compensation, and Neuromodulation in Neuronal Circuits.”
