This educational activity will address the diagnosis and treatment of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease by utilizing the latest diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in the treatment of IBD patients.

The information presented at this educational activity should improve your ability to:

• Identify and treat gastrointestinal infections especially C. difficile and CMV infections in IBD patients
• Identify the pathophysiology and possible therapeutic interventions in patients with IBD and concomitant irritable bowel syndrome
• Conceptualize the newest approach to therapy in IBD and individualize the treatment approach in IBD.
