Country for Kids concert at DPAC to benefit N.C. Children's Hospital
Curtis Media Group has announced a charity concert, dubbed “Country for Kids,” to contribute to the ninth annual N.C. Children’s Promise Radiothon/Telethon. Tickets for the concert— held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC)—go on sale this Friday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m., with proceeds benefiting the N.C. Children’s Hospital.
“We are very excited about the addition of the Country for Kids to this
year’s radiothon/telethon,” said Dr. Alan Stiles, chief physician of
N.C. Children’s Hospital. “We anticipate the concert event will expose
an entirely new audience to the Children’s Hospital’s life-saving
mission and raise tens of thousands of dollars.”
Presented by
94.7 WQDR, Country for Kids will feature live performances by four
artists, Uncle Kracker, Rodney Atkins, Clay Walker and North Carolina’s
very own Jason Michael Carroll. The concert event will be the
celebratory culmination of a day full of miraculous stories being
broadcast live from the N.C. Children’s Hospital lobby on nearly 20
Curtis Media Group radio stations and Time Warner Cable’s News 14
Carolina as part of the N.C. Children’s Promise Radiothon/Telethon, UNC
Health Care’s largest fundraising event each year.
Tickets to Country for Kids are just $25 and will be available for purchase through Ticketmaster.com, DPACnc.com
or (919) 680-2787. Limited VIP packages are also available for a
premium price and will include choice seating in front of the stage and a
