Speech and Hearing Division Awarded $2.1 Million by US Department of Education
The Division of Speech and Hearing Sciences in Department of Allied Health Sciences at the UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine has been awarded two new grants to prepare doctoral and master’s students in specialized areas of clinical practice.

Imaged Documents Change in WebCIS
On Dec. 7, Medical Information Management initiated a change in the label used in WebCIS ->Imaged Documents. Those notes that were indexed under “Outpatient Procedure Notes” can now be found under a new label called “Procedure Notes.”

VIDEO: NC Children's Promise TV - Dalend Cornwell
The "N.C. Children’s Promise TV" project took five N.C. Children's Hospital patients and turned them into reporters for a day during the ninth annual Children's Promise Radiothon/Telethon on Nov. 18. These kids spent the day interviewing patients, staff and volunteers, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the radiothon/telethon from their perspective. The first of these reporters is Dalend Cornwell, from Lenoir, NC, who was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at the Children's Hospital in 2005.
